Vice President Cara Dobrev welcomed everyone to the June 2023 General Meeting. About 60 people attended, with 2 new members joining us today! Cara made several announcements:
- We are still looking for someone to be the lead for the Retreat - there are lots of volunteers willing and able to help, but we need a leader!
- A volunteer is needed to audit our financial reports for the prior year - two members have stepped up to handle this
- Next month's meeting will feature Sarah Ruiz on making fabric postcards - lots of excitement on this topic!
Paula Kennedy, Member at Large, welcomed a number of guests to our meeting.
Pamela Edwards, Treasurer, gave us an update on our financial report for the month.
Debby Manuel, Education Coordinator, shared an overview of our June 3 workshop with Libs Elliott, and several members shared their "chaos" quilts. It was a fun class, and many said they would use the technique again.
The raffle basket was won by Ellen Gordon!
And Love Sullivan won the Block of the Month:
We had a presentation on rulers from members Jolyn Catledge and Dawn Vanderwolf, with LOTS of audience participation! Many people told me they learned about at least one ruler that they didn't already know about!
