Sew Day, December 13, 2013

There were many busy elves at the December Sew Day and Holiday Party held at the Dr. Phillips library.

Kathryn's beautiful art quilt with her hand printed fabrics.

Yanick was busy making gift card cases and coffee sleeves for her family.

Ellen was fabricating (get it?) gorgeous ornaments from strips of fabrics. They look so intricate, but she was whipping them up quickly.

Marge selected a layout for the ornament blocks that Yanick really won, but owed to Marge. There are some deals going down during our monthly meetings! Marge finished the top complete with red sashing. It looks fantastic. Do you recognize your block(s)?

We always starve at Sew Days. There's hardly anything to eat or drink. Yeah, you know better. Everything was delicious and festive.

Our littlest elf was a delight. She and her ponies (and mommy) constructed a beautiful quilt top. You should have seen her laying out her blocks on the floor like we do. I think we have a new quilter among us.

These brown paper bags contain mug rugs.

And here they all are. Click on the picture to see them closer. They were all very fun.

Happy Holidays!

  6. Such a fun day! Sitting next to Marge was an inspiration--she whipped up that Christmas block quilt top in record time.
