Can I join if I do not live in Orlando?

Of course you can!  We have members from the Central Florida area including Orlando, Maitland, Lake Mary, Winter Springs, Deland, etc. as well as members from out of state.

Where and when do you meet?

We typically meet the first Wednesday of the month at The Sewing Studio in Maitland from 10am-12pm.  We understand that weekdays are difficult for some members, so we also offer monthly Sew Days on a Saturday at the Dr. Phillips Library and monthly Sew Days on a Monday at the Maitland Public Library.  Check our Calendar tab for specific dates.

Can I attend a meeting before joining?

Of course!  We love to welcome guests to our meetings.  It's a great way to see what we are all about.

How large is your guild?

Currently, we have around 85 members.  A typical meeting will draw about 30-40 people.

Is there a membership fee to join?

Yes.  Our annual dues are $50 which goes towards our MQG membership, covering the costs of amazing teachers and workshops, and other business expenses.

What type of workshops does your guild offer?

We have been fortunate to host some amazingly creative and talented teachers including Carolyn Friedlander, Victoria Findlay Wolfe, Jacquie Gering, Lee Monroe, Mary Sorensen, Amanda Leins, Tonya Ricucci, Frank Palmer, Carole Lyles Shaw, Shannon Brinkley (coming May 2017), and Amanda Jean Nyberg (September 2017).
