Marge talked about our 2024 Retreat. It will be at Daytona Oceanwalk again this year, November 14 - 18. An email will come out soon with rates and booking information. There is a 2 night minimum. Signups are open through October.

Paula Kennedy shared information about the Florida Prize in Contemporary Art exhibition at the Orlando Museum of Art. Njeri Kinuthia has a beautiful textile-focused exhibit on display.

Debby Manuel, our Education Coordinator, shared an update on our upcoming education. Our Sarah Goer workshop is next week, and we are looking into future opportunities for evening lectures. There is a survey in the June newsletter asking for feedback on ideal start times and days of the week - share your thoughts.
Bradie Britt will be holding a bag making workshop during our Sew Day on Sunday, September 22, from 1 to 5. This workshop is free to members. Bring your own pattern to work on! Bradie recommends patterns from By Annie. By Annie has 4 free patterns to help develop basic bag skills and offers dozens more patterns of varying complexity.
