June is over and it has been a very busy and productive one on the Community Outreach Sew Day front.
During one Sew Day at the Dr Philipps Library, Jodi and Marge put kits together from donated orphan blocks, previous Block Lotto, Bee blocks… Those 2 ladies are expert at matching blocks and making them work together.
Followed 4 Sew Days hosted at one of our members’ home. Small group of 5/6 quilters joined their effort to assemble 6 tops for the Legal Aid Society and 2 other quilts for the Kissimee families who have recently lost their home in a fire.
We already knew that our members were generous, ingenious and talented. In case you needed more proof, here are a few top that were created.
Some of the tops now need to be quilted. Any volunteer? If you think you can help, please contact Beth or leave a message in the comment section.
To all who took part to this June Quilt-athlon, thank you! Thank you for your time, thank you for your fabric, thank you for your creativity!
I love seeing our members collaborate so beautifully!!
