It's that time again, folks: block of the month!
Here's what I have for you all. I'm going to call it Windmill, though it might already have a name. It's made with 5" squares, so great for those of you who like to hoard pre-cuts!
Materials needed:
2 - 5" squares of white fabric
2 - 5" squares of pattern fabric
Step 1: Lay each white square on top of each patterned square, right sides together.
Step 2: Sew together two opposite sides of each pair with a 1/4" seam allowance.
Step 3: Trim your squares to 2.5" x 5" rectangles (cut the squares in half).
Step 4: Press your seams.
Step 5: You should now have four 4.5" x 5" almost-squares. Trim them to 4.5" x 4.5".
Step 6: Arrange the squares in the Windmill four-patch pattern and sew together.
Annnndddd that's it! You did it! You're awesome! I am so proud of you! You made a block!!! You go girl!
That's a clever way to put this block together.
