Sew Day Progress - Quilts for Pulse

Our Saturday Sew Day was spent putting finished Pulse quilt tops with backing, batting and binding. We're making great progress with all the lovely items that quilters have been sending.

Festival of Trees information post

Hi everyone! Thanks for picking up your Festival of Trees fabric today if you were on the list. I had two people that said they emailed me that I did not hear from and a couple of people that wanted to join after the emails took place. If either applies to you I will give you all the info you need to join in with some of your own scraps, so have no fear.

The first thing I need to mention is the DUE DATE! I forgot that today, please forgive me. I need your block at the next meeting please, which is Sept 7th.

Here is a picture of Sara's quilt which is the general idea that we are going for here. Just keep that in mind when you are making your block. Some of the trees are a single solid piece of green, some are patchwork etc. Have fun with it! Just please stick to the color guidelines listed below for a fully cohesive quilt.

August 2016 Meeting Minutes

MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, August 3, 2016 Maitland, FL
President Alissa called the meeting to order; 65 members and 18 guests were present. Several new members introduced themselves. Gabriela from The Sewing Studio announced an event on Saturday, August 13, 10 am to 2 pm, at which Anna Bond from The Rifle Paper Co. in Winter Park, will be at a Meet & Greet introducing her new line of fabric. The fabric will be available for purchase that day. PULSE QUILTS FROM CANADA Laura Cook, here on vacation from Ontario, came as a guest and presented the guild with 3 Quilts for Pulse from her guild in Canada. TREASURER’S REPORT
Marge, the guild’s former treasurer filling in for Joan, who is out of town, reported that the guild took in income last month from six new members joining the guild and deposits for the November retreat, among other items. Ten new members joined today.
