MICHAEL MILLER CHALLENGE
Remember to post your creation to the MQG website by July 25 to be eligible for the year of free fabric prize.  Some beautiful items have been made by our members using the challenge fabrics.
BETA HOUSE
An impressive number of quilts were collected for donation to Beta House.  Some examples:

FESTIVAL OF TREES QUILT
Yanick distributed fabric for the quilt and asked members to make one or two 6.5 inch blocks from it.  Some important things to remember if you are making blocks:
  • Blocks must be completed and turned in at our August 6 meeting.
  • Please do not incorporate other fabrics; use only the fabric provided.  You do not have to use all the fabrics, but definitely use the "fat eighth" and the white fabric.
  • You can create ANY block design as long as it is 6.5 inches unfinished.
  • Incorporate as much of the background fabric (white) on sides of block as possible.
  • Fabric will be available at both of July's Sew Days.
  • If you would like to make a block but won't be at the August meeting, please make sure you give your completed block to another member to bring, bring it to a Sew Day, or mail to Yanick.
BEE HIVES
Jodi asked all members who participated in our bee to display their blocks.  There is interest in doing more bees, with some modifications.  Information to follow.
