November BOM

This month's block is straight from the MQG Website.  Block Study is Side Stripe by Renee Tallman, a member of the South Bay Area MQG. It's a half-square triangle block — with a twist! It features a fun stripe in the middle, making for a fun effect.  Find the block pattern and bonus quilt pattern for this scrappy version in the link below.

The MQG February 2018 Block Study

We will use the same color way as the example on the website. White and bold solids.

Review the Instructions on the MQG Website
Here are some Additional Tips:

Tip #1When adding the final white triangle, fold both pieces in half,
to find the centers then mark with a pin before stitching.

Tip #2 When preparing to square, take extra time and care,
cut to straighten the sides.

then use your diagonal line to ensure the square is the correct size and angle.

Tip #3 Pin the two blocks to match all seams.

Tip #4 Make 2 blocks, one for the OMQG Raffle and one for yourself!
